Erie is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Erie follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

First time at Born and Braised! This weekend’s menu is delicious! Fun environment and welcoming staff ☺️ Lobster guac, beef tallow fries, wagyu burger, tomahawk steak paired nicely with the bar items - Yori Wine Cellars cabarnet franc and a mocktail twist on their strawberry fennel fizz! Thanks for a great evening!

I took my elderly parents to dinner - for their 64th anniversary. It was an adventure to get out as they have significant mobility issues, but everyone at Born & Braise was kind and helpful. They sat us at a table near the door and helped me as I brought each parent in and out of the restaurant one at a time. This place punches above its weight. The meal was excellent. This may be the best restaurant meal I have had while visiting in Erie. We had the gnocchi (outstanding) and salmon (perfect), and glasses of Chardonnay (very nice). Special thanks to Evan, Thor, and Anna for the attentive and KIND service, and thanks to all who prepared the delicious meal-they know how to cook!

I had a terrific meal at Born and Braised. We started with the Thai basil mussels, which were rich, buttery, and full of flavor, plus the portion was very generous. For my entrΓ©e, I ordered the tiger shrimp and grits. The grits were creamy, the blistered tomatoes added the perfect touch of acidity, and all of the components of the dish came together beautifully. My friend ordered the lemon and honey chicken and said it was excellent as well. The atmosphere at Born and Braised feels intimate with a beautiful art deco vibe. I’m definitely looking forward to coming back and trying more of their menu.

First time here and it is absolutely amazing! I tried the pork parmigiano and their chef made marinara could compete with most dedicated Italian restaurants. The pork loin chop is perfectly seasoned and melts in your mouth. Truly a hidden gem in Erie! Edit: I posted this while waiting on my peanut butter crème brûlée. It was too good not to come back and add a mention and pic. The rich dark chocolate is a perfect compliment. Simply decadent.

We went for Valentines Day 2026 and were pleasantly surprised to learn it was a 5 course pre-fixed menu. Every option looked amazing, and between my wife and I we were able to pretty much taste everything available. I did opt for the ribeye upgrade, and it was cooked perfectly. Honestly everything was cooked with such great care and attention/turned out perfect. I grew up in MD/DC and traveled all over the west coast, had no clue Erie had any restaurants of this caliber. I thought Oliver’s was top of the top. I’ll have to come back for a normal dinner. Price point may be difficult for some, but you get what you pay for. Drinks/alcohol were reasonable! Our server Thor and the bartenders were all very friendly and accommodating. As a Marylander, I can verify they make a mean crab cake. The lobster risotto? I knew immediately that lobster was fresh. The little saltiness of the sea paired with truffle and creamy risotto - I still dream of this date night lol
